How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
we used to sleep on an empty stomach, the only source of money to buy food was piece works. my life has changed since i started receiving the transfers because i do manage to buy a lot of food for my family and we are eating enough food everyday. i also have enough time to work in my farms and am positive that this year i will have good yields from my farms.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
i feel like everything that is done by give directly is done with a lot of transparency and i can not identify something that was not done well
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received my second transfer the first thing i bought was food, since my family used to sleep on an empty stomach before receiving the transfers. secondly i bought materials for building my house and i have saved some money for building my house during dry season. the remaining amount was used to buy goats and fertilizer.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
i was very happy , i could not believe that the huge amount of money was mine because the whole of my life i have never had such an amount of money
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i used to do piece work in peoples farms in order to find food for my family, the time i was supposed to spend in my farm i spent it looking for food in other peoples farms, this was just part of my daily life. when i received my money i bought enough food for my family and we are eating everyday and right now a spend the time in my farm and i have bought enough fertilizer which will be applied in my field to increase yields.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received my money i bought fertilizer, food, blanket and mattress. i bought these things because this is a life time opportunity and i had to buy things that i could not afford to buy in the past.
