How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No. I said previously that I wanted to build my own house because I'm living in my mom's house. The house is deplorable and I have been living there about 4 years with my family when our house broke down. We were unable to build a new house after our house got broken down due to financial difficulties. We sleep in a single room with our children and it's a thartch house. However, with my transfer that I got from GiveDirectly, I have built my three bed rooms house with zinc almost to completion.I bought two bundles of zinc and zinc nails with my past transfers and will be buying the remaining ones with this transfer to enable me move in my house in the soonest possible time.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GD have done so much well for me and my family by enrolling us on this life changing program. I was sleeping in a single room with our children with thatch house and now I have built a decent three bed rooms house from GiveDirectly helped. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The day I received my transfer message, was one of the happiest day of my life. I was so overjoyed to the extent that I cried tears of joy. Before this transfer, life had been difficult for me as a single mother. I am into cassava farming that had been a source of income for my family. Until its time to harvest we always find it difficult to make ends meet. Presently, we are living in a house with deployable condition. The roof is badly leaking that whenever its rains, my kids and I wouldn't have no place to sleep. That brought us so much sadness. Happily, with this my recent transfer I am planning on using some of the money to buy materials to built a decent for us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, is waking up these days not worried or stressed out of thinking how to raise money to change the living condition of my family especially with the raining season right around the corner. As a cassava farmer and single mother, I worked so hard to provide a better sleeping place for my children but my efforts was always not enough because I couldn't raised any extra cash for this planned. However, with transfer now coming from GiveDirectly, my planned will easily start to fall into place. I am now planning on using a good portion of my money to buy some of the most important materials which are zinc, roofing nail and others as start up. I am now happy and relieved for this great financial opportunity from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my transfer, With joy and excitement to change the living condition of my family by building us a new house to move out of the old thatched house, I am planning on using almost all my transfer to buy building materials such as zinc, roofing nail and others roofing materials as start up for the project. The balance money will be spend on paying my children's school fees. For the passed years I have been struggling very hard as single mother to reach this goal for my family. But due to financial constrained it had always been fruitless. Presently, I am one of the happiest beneficiaries of our town. All thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I'm a single mother with two (2) kids for now, I see us living in this poor condition now I just can't do anything much about it, but getting this money will help me build a new house so we have better sleep during the rainy season. I will sponsor my children schooling as well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six (6) I have not been fortunate to get smile on my face, I always been hit by struggle. My life has been so miserable with agony, but seeing GiveDirectly being me a lot of great joy, I pray to be a potential beneficiary.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
House should be comfortable for everyone, our home should be our comfort zone, but not in the case with us (my family) because we of the roof leakage, the house is full of insects, because the house is very old now, and we sleep on mat. Since I born my two (2) children ( 4 years-old and 10 year-old kids) they have never slept on mattress in their life, to conclude better shelter is our major we are facing.
