How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly I never thought about buying motorbike to transport myself to and from school. However, due to the long distance I covered everyday and sometimes pay high transportation whenever I am getting late for school, I decided to buy a fairly used bike in order to ease the transportation for me. Moreover I have been also been running it as traffic transport during weekends and the income had been tremendous. I am very excited for this new goal, it is helping me alot. I no longer worry about trekking for hours or paying high transportation to get to school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has been doing well from the beginning of this program till date. The method used by this integrity Organization in selecting qualified household to benefit from this project is unexplainable. Meanwhile, all the sacrifices and efforts applied to reach we the beneficiaries is highly commandable. I am forever be grateful to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity. Finally, I don't see anything that GD has not done quite well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving payment from GiveDirectly with my new goal to buy a motorbike, I used all my transfers including money loan to me from my brother and bought a fairly used bike in order to ease the transportation for me to and from school. However, I also run the bike doing weekends and the income is helping me to pay back the money loan me. I know very soon I will be done paying the money back and be a feel man. I am very excited for this new goal.
