How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed positively in that, I have been in position to construct my dream house(an iron roofed) that I am currently staying in. Before receiving this transfer, I didn't have enough money to construct an iron roofed house. I had a burden of my children's school fees which was taking the little money we would get from agricultural produce, so I didn't have hope of building an iron roofed house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I spent to construct an iron roofed house, pay school fees and a debt that I had. GiveDirectly hasn't done bad in anyway on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase 15 pieces of iron sheets, 5 bags of cement, timber, nails and binding wire that were used to roof my house. I also paid off a debt which enabled me recover my piece of land that had been taken my the money lender and bought food for family members with the money that remained.
