Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goals for my life for the next four months is all set for buying a cow. This is a long-time investment that will play an important role in providing milk for the family. I am sure that milk will also be sold so that we can raise some money for family use. Again, milk is good food for good health and therefore a plus for my young family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I am able to see and observe the house which I built for my son. My wife died a few years ago. We are left alone and I am the sole provider for my family. My son is almost ripe for marriage and building him a house is supporting him in this course of life. Once he gets himself a woman, she will be beneficial to the family since she will be doing house chores that were once done by my late wife.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In six months’ time, I hope that my son will have brought a wife. This will mean that an additional member for the family and kind of replacement for my late wife will come to help us in household chores. My son will have completely gotten hopes in life after losing when her mother died. It has been a real struggle for him coming to terms with the death of her mother. Transfers from GiveDirectly have given us hopes in future and psychologically stability at least for us to plan ahead.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Before, I would hardly get enough money for buying food and paying school fees for my children as I would only depend on the casual job for a living. My children used to be sent home for school fees as I couldn't afford to pay their school fees on time. Now am happy that they are no longer sent home for fees as the monthly transfer which I received from Give Directly I spend part of it to pay their school fees. Now am happy seeing my children being in school like others as they can now concentrate on their studies.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start poultry farming. I have always desired to do this because due to my illness which I have been suffering from for long I will be able to do it. Due to my low income, It has always been just a dream. Now that I get monthly income from GiveDirecly I will invest in poultry farming support. I would like to buy chicken so that I can have a sustainable income through the sale of eggs. From this, I can sell the chicken and eggs to raise money for other financial needs without having to depend on others.

Since my son is full grown up he had nowhere to sleep and he used to spend at our neighbour's place. Now have constructed a house for him and he has a comfortable place to sleep, I fell so happy as a parent.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I believe I would have started poultry farming and I will be financially stable. I expect to earn money through the sale of eggs. This will enable me to get money for paying school fees and buying household expenditure.
