How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
my life is different now because i can manage to build a good house which was a dream in the past. i stay in a poorly built grass thatched house and now that i have started building a good house i am really happy. thank you Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
i feel like give directly is one of the organisations that is transparent and so far i have not identified something that is not done well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
the moment i received my second transfer i bought bricks, i used to stay in a poorly built house and i really wanted a new house. when i received my first transfer i bought other materials for building my house and the only thing remaining was bricks. the remaining amount was used to buy food and other basic needs.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited to the extend that I was dancing whole afternoon. I never thought or imagine that I will benefit from the program. I thought it was a joke but I was wrong.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
GD has changed my life completely. I was mostly affected by hunger almost on yearly basis especially during December to March. It is taken as the four months of hunger. This period, we only eat Mangoes or at times sleep on an empty stomach. But it is different this year because of the transfer we got from GD. I have now food that will take me now till November next year. I have also buy fertiliser, that am assured it will led to bumper harvest. My life will never be same.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought 7 bags of cement, 24 sheets of iron sheets, 4 bags of maize and clothes for the whole family.
