What does receiving this money mean to you?
"The plan I have for the cash transfer is to complete my house. He have managed to roof it with palm leaves locally called "tatch". It has started to leak and I want to buy zinc to change the roof. Due to the illness of my husband, we were unable to complete the house and I have been living in it just as it is. The next plan I have is to sponsor my daughter so that she can continue her education. She has been out of school for a 3 years now because there haven't been finance to pay her tuition. These are the main 2 plans I have for the cash transfer if I am successful in the program."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" What has brought joy or happiness to me in the last 6 months was the call I received from my daughter that she has completed her national examinations and things are fine at the place she stays. This brought so much joy and happiness to me because she is my only hope. She might be graduating for high school any time soon and it means a lot to me.'
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The current challenge I'm faced with right now is finance. My husband has been ill for about 4 months now. He was the bread winner of the family. I am not educated so I do only farm work. The money I get from the farm is little to manage the home. My elder daughter have to leave the house and go to stay with my smaller sister just to be able to get education. The challenges I'm faced with are many but finance is paramount."
