I used a portion of the transfer to purchase corns for family consumption. Paid my daughter in secondary school fee. Bought my children clothes. Apart from that, I gave my spouse some money to cement my house although he has not done that.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my house is well furnished because I managed to buy enough chairs. Before I only had two chairs and some of my household had to sit on the floor.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it deal with the beneficiaries direct without going through village gate keepers. At the moment, I'm not aware of GD doesn't do well.
