How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would have been very sad if I did not receive these transfers but now I am very happy. I am also grateful that I managed to benefit from GiveDirectly and I pray that more people should be assisted through this organisation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did a very good and I am very happy with the work that they have done in our village. I was able to build a house, buy kitchen utensils and furniture for my house. Now I can afford to sleep on a nice bed because of the money that I received.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy iron sheets and maize. Unfortunately, my child passed away and I used some of the money to buy food and other things that we needed for a funeral ceremony.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a happy moment as it brought hope of survival for my household. We were all excited in our family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Honestly, the biggest difference in my life as a result of this transfer is that i have enough food for the family for a considerable period of time ahead. This is something that has never happened in my life that is to have food in this month of January. Iam proud of Givedirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Well, when i got my transfer i did not hestate to buy 5 bags of maize as i needed it the most. I had completely run out of food stuffs. Thereafter it is when i went to town to buy iron sheets so that i maintain the roof of my house when i get the other remaining transfer. I used some of the cash to buy a mattress and other beddings.
