How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I was able to harvest many bags of maize and sorghum. This is because I have been spending transfers on farming. In addition, I haven't faced challenges in raising money to meet household needs. This is because I have been spending part of the transfers on meeting these needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The current house I have has an old roof. The iron sheets have holes all over which makes the roof to leak when it rains. I'm, therefore, planning to purchase new iron sheets with the next four transfers so that I can use them to construct a new roof.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is the peace of mind that I have currently. Previously I didn't have a reliable source of income except for farming which wasn't doing well because I couldn't afford both farm inputs and to work on a large piece of farm. This in most cases, resulted in a low harvest. I'm glad through the GD transfers I have an additional source of income which has enabled me to easily meet the household needs. In addition, I have been investing part of the transfers on farming and this has led to improved harvest thus I'm assured of enough food to sustain me for the whole year.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I'm hopeful that I'll have raised enough money to construct a new roof so that I can change the current old leaking roof.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it could have been before Give Directly came into my life. I am healthier and happier because I can now afford to eat well and meet other basic needs. Give Directly gave me the means to do all these through the monthly transfers. Nowadays I don't have to strain my self by doing several casual jobs in order to get money. Previously I would hustle the whole day looking for a job and still sleep hungry especially the bad days when I couldn't get a casual job to do. I am glad this will never happen again because I have invested the money I got from Give Directly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I don't have any new goal at the moment. I want to concentrate on my farm. I want to make sure I do everything right to ensure I become successful. This is my main investment and I don't want to gamble with it. A larger portion has been spent in this project and I don't have the resources to start any big project at the moment. Hopefully, when I get a good harvest, I will sell the proceeds and use the money to start other projects
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Currently, my life is different from how it could have been before Give Directly came into my life. I feel lucky to be among the beneficiaries of this organization. Through their help, I was able to do farming on a large scale. For the first time in my life, I was able to hire labour, afford to buy the farm inputs and also lease land. I know this time I will get a bumper harvest. This will improve my life because I will get more money when I sell the proceeds from the farm. This will help me start other income-generating projects. I have also been able to eat well since I no longer depend on casual work as a source of income. My health has improved as a result of this. Generally, I am at peace since I can afford most of the basic needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have gotten a good harvest. Some of my crops will be ready for sale. I am planning to invest more in farming because that is the most doable business in this region. One can count to get profits as long as they use the correct inputs and plant in time. The crops that grow in this region are also in high demand. Therefore one can never go wrong with farming in this region
