How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have less stress and we are at peace because my children are not sent home for school fees balances.I also longer borrow bedding and utensils from my neighbors because I bought mine when I got my transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have no new goal because I did not manage to fulfill my previous goals .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that we are staying a happy and peaceful life, we managed to almost clear school fees areas for our three children in Secondary School, unlike before when I had a very huge school fees balances and my children could be sent home for fee frequently.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I would have boosted my vegetable business because I now have less school fees burden.Hence I will have an increase in income.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to buy two bulls that i will use to plough my farm in addition to a ploughing hoe.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am now happy and I have hope that my children will go to school well without being sent home for fee. I will be able to pay their school fees from the profits generated from my business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have a sustainable business that will give me a good profit. I also want to have processed NHIF card that will enable me access medication with ease. I will have enough cash that i will use in paying the NHIF medical premiums without so much strain.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am very happy and proud as a mother, my two sons benefited and they have started building their own houses.I also bought cups and sufuria that I will be using when my visitors come to my home. I have also bough a few bags of cement that I will use to plaster my house. I could not manage to do this before due to my limited finances.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that i have faced was dealing with my husband's sickness.He was sick for a very long time and the cost of treatment really strained our family's finances.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when i wake up feeling healthy and strong because i feel motivated to cultivate my farm before the sun gets too hot.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on completing the fee arrears for three of my children who are in high school and also plastering the walls and floor of my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that i am proudest of was being able to buy my own cow from the little savings that i had been keeping.The cow has since then been able to give birth to four more cows that i have been selling to pay school fees for my children.
