What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to complete plastering my house, then bought window panes for my windows and used the rest to buy sofa sets and other household items.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly does well is changing people's lives for the better by giving them money to buy and take care of their needs without telling them exactly what to buy. What it does not do well is giving money to just a few people and a few households in the village which brings grudge among the villagers.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I had never received the transfers from GD,I would not have bought the items that I bought such as sofa sets and other household items. My house is now more comfortable and more lovely, all thanks to GD transfers.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying 7,000 KES school fee for my child in high school, used 17,700 KES to furnish my house (i.e. painting the walls and putting window panes), used 4,000 KES on hospital for my daughter who had miscarriage. Then used the rest on food for the house. Am so happy that my house is so beautiful and presentable and my child is also going to school peacefully now that the fee is paid.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I used to just hear from people that they received money from GiveDirectly but I never believed until the day I got it, I was so happy.
