What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to cement both walls and floor of my house. Bought and fixed metallic door. I also purchased foodstuffs for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I no longer repair my house more often as it used to be. Apart from that, my house used to be dusty but that is no more.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it is determined to change our lives positively otherwise I'm not aware of what GD doesn't do well.

I spent my second transfer on buying twenty bags of cement, sand,windows, doors and paying labour fees for plastering my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I am living peacefully in a clean plastered house and able to buy daily food without straining compared to when I had not received the money.Thanks to GD.

I spent my first transfer on dry maize for food (3,000 KES), sand and cement (5,000 KES), and one sheep (2,000 KES)
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I felt elated since I am elderly and no one supports me, but here was a miracle for me so I could implement some plans that had been just a dream in my life.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I have planned to plaster my floor which has a lot of holes and is not cemented. I will also set up a small business so that I can be making some money.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I bought the land where I am farming,it gives my family food. I also bought two cows and I am using one to plough my farm.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship was losing my second son whom I depended on for support,since then my life has not been the same.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during the day when am awake and in good health.
