I bought 12 bags of cement at 12,000 KES (included transportation), a lorry of sand at 5,000 KES, murram at 3,000 KES and labour at 7,000 KES to have my house repaired and plastered and 3,500 on school fees. I still have some saved on the phone.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My house is semi-permanent and the walls were beginning to wear off and being dilapidated, but after getting the transfer I managed to buy cement and plaster the walls of my house and even the floor and am now not worried about my house collapsing.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I paid 3,500KES debt that i had borrowed from our women group. I also spent 4,000KES on my brother's funeral. The rest of the money was spent on groceries.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I built an iron roofed house, but did not finish because I ran out of money. I therefor plan to buy cement and cement the walls and floor of my house and give it a good finish.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend the transfer to plaster my house. I also plan to spend the transfer to build a kitchen where my children can sleep. I also plan to spend the transfer to buy a cow that can provide me with milk.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I worked hard and built my own house. It was after saving money for several months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced in life is that I don't have adequate agricultural land that I can grow crops. I own a small piece of land where I built my home. Its been hard to get harvest and therefore I have fallen victim of hunger.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I manage to get profit from my small business. It makes me happy because I use the profit I get to buy food for my children.
