How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life when I managed to pay school fees for my children. The burden of paying their school fees were overwhelming. My husband had obtained a loan and he would earn little which wouldn't sustain us. We spent the whole amount which I received to pay school fees for our children. We felt relieved after we managed to clear their school fees on time.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly did well by giving us money and the most important thing is to plan for it. We had no conditions on what to spend on and each one of us spend it as per the pressing need. There is nothing which I can point out that this organization never did well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
At the moment when I received my second transfers, I had two children in high school and two in college. I spent the whole transfers which I got in paying school fees. My children had been sent home for school fees and this would give me restless moments. The transfers which I had just received came in handy with payment of school fees.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means an answered prayer to me. I have two children in college and three in secondary school thus this money will help me pay their school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning. This is the time i wake up feeling fresh since i haven't crossed paths with anyone.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is the struggle we go through as a family in order to pay school fees for our children. Having two children in college and two in high school is a great challenge for us in this family, since my husband is the only bread Weaner of the family and his salary ain't enough to cater for the family needs.
