How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because I am more at ease now knowing that I have a perfect house. I was always so concerned about my house, It wasn't strong enough and it needed a strong foundation. So with the transfers received I managed rebuild and make improvements which was my dream. I feel safe and content all because of the transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My opinion on GiveDirectly, is that I wouldnt take away anything from the work that you are already doing. If I was to correct you then I would be telling lies. GiveDirectly is doing so much for people and they are doing it well. Theres no corrections or addition things I could add on to them. They should continue what they are doing as it is working well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the transfers to pay for my child's transport fee to South Africa, my son had gotten a work opportunity that side so I gave him 200,000 from the first transfers. I then bought 15 glasses for the Windows in my house, A Matress and I used some of the money for some food. Then bought 14bags of cement for the flooring in my house and also spent money on transportation for all those materials to be sent to me and of course I also had to pay some men for construction... Lastly I bought fertilizer so I could do some farming.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
It will mean alot to us as we are lacking alot of things like finishing up our house and also our child wants to go to South Africa to look for green pastures and through this money we will be able to fulfil all our needs
What is the happiest part of your day?
We don't have a particular time we are just grateful for our lives.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Falling to meet our every day needs due to lack of money and with this old age we can't manage to go look for casual labour
