How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been living under this thatch roof over my head over a long period of time along with my famiy. Sending my kids to school have also been a serious challenge for me. To send my children to school to end an academy year has been a problem that I was always bothering me. But since I started receiving the transfer from Givedirectly, I have decided to change the thatch roof over my house and build a house for me and my family with portion of the transfer. The second transfer, I'd used portion of it to pay for my seven(7) children's school fees because I need a quality education for them to have a better future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, I do believe that there is nothing that is not done well by GiveDirectly because during the enrolment process, GiveDirectly visited every deserving households in our various communities. I think GiveDirectly was fair enough during the enrolment process. All I can say is to just thank GiveDirectly for making me to have a better roof over my head and the education of my children for their future.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Due to the condition of my past life along with my family living condition under such leaking roof, I have decided to change the thatch roof that was over my head for such a long period of time along with my famiy. To also send my children to school to end a academy year was a very serious challenge for me. But since I became a beneficiary on the GiveDirectly cash transfer program and I started receiving the transfer from Givedirectly, I have decided to change the thatch roof over my house and build a new house for me and my family. I have also used portion of the transfer to send my children to school for them to have a quality education for a better future tomorrow.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
On many occasions we have made cassava farms and produced gari and fufu out of the cassava to sell with the intend of using the money to support our children in school and buy zinc to change the roof of our house. From last year up to this year our fufu has been made to spoil here because of bad road condition. Sometimes we want to send the fufu to monrovia or Buchanan to sell but no car can come into our area easily so those goods have to leave here and spoil causing us serious financial loses. As I speak, we live in a house that is seriously leaking. If I get any money from Give Directly, I'll use part of it to buy zinc for my house and use the balance to send my children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Today is one of the most happy moment for me and my family. From what you people have told us today, I have built hope that things will get better with us soon. I believe my children will go to school this year and I'll be able to get zinc for my house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I face is money. We can't easily send things from here to Monrovia or Buchanan due to bad road. It's difficult to get money to even buy food. We can not afford money to send our children to school and to renovate the house we live in.
