How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I needed to complete my house and move in with my family but I did not have enough money to achieve my goal. Additionally, I needed money to buy dishes and enough food for my household. Therefore, when I received my recent transfer, I bought 2 bags of rice to feed my home and 2 bundles of zinc to complete my house project. My life has improved tremendously. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for all they do!

The various methods employed by GiveDirectly in selecting qualified household to benefit from this program is unmatched. With these transfers, my life has improved tremendously. I am blessed to be part of this unique program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My primary objective at the moment is to complete my house project and move in with my family. Furthermore, I needed to buy enough food for my home. Hence, I used portion of my transfer to purchase 2 bundles of zinc and 1carton of zinc nails to roof my house. Likewise, the remaining portion of my transfer was used to buy enough food for my family. I feel so relieved at the moment. My life has changed completely.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always dreamed of starting my own business. Therefore, when I received my recent transfer, I bought a fairly used bike for commercial purpose. This transportation business will serve as an additional source of income for me to take good care of my family by providing their basic needs. I am very much grateful for this unique opportunity that has helped change my life.

GiveDirectly's unique method of selecting qualified household to benefit from this program is incomparable. With these transfers, my life has immensely improved within the last couple of months. I am blessed to be part of this unique project.

I have always wanted to to establish my own transportation business. Hence, when I received my recent transfer, I added some of the money saved from my previous transfers to purchase a fairly used bike for $60,000LD. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have new goal for now. My previous plans of building a new house still stands. Living in a family house with my dependents is not comfortable for me. My dream was to one day own a house that will accommodate my family and I. Now, GiveDirectly has given me the opportunity to build my own house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The good things GiveDirectly has done is beyond expectations. I have never seen an NGO that is fair enough as compared to GiveDirectly. GiveDirectly has saved lives, rebuilt hopes and restored dignities. It was not easy to earn money on my own, most especially, this amount of money. All of GiveDirectly works are good. I have not heard anything negative about her work.

I bought two additional bundles of zinc for my proposed three bed rooms house. I bought 15 pack of nails and I saved about 25% of my transfer for planks and workmanship.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a wonderful moment that beautiful morning when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly. I hurriedly got up from bed and rushed into the bathroom. I needed money to buy mattress, food and improve my house. However, I could not achieve all of the above due to limited income. Suddenly, with GD transfer, I was able to get all of the above done. I will forever remain thankful for this unique opportunity.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
With GiveDirectly's financial support, I was able to purchase enough cement to plaster my house. Moreover, I bought a very big and comfortable mattress for my family. I was also able to purchase enough food for my home. All of these wouldn't have been possible without GD'S transfer. The above accomplishments has been the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly.

I needed to raise enough money to buy mattress, cement and enough food for my home. What does receiving this money mean to you?
"When I received this money from GiveDirectly will used it to build my house and send my children to school. For so many years I have live in this village in my relative house and due to my very little income I am unable to get all of my daily needs. My children are not school and as a mother seeing my children home all days makes me feel heart sick!"
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Despite all of the difficulties I'm going through, GiveDirectly present in our village today has brought me great joy. "
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Life in this rural part of Libera is very difficult, I faced numerous problems on a daily basis. I done have a house of my own, my family have to sleep in my relative house and we faced lots of disrespect because of that. There is no money to send my children to school. "
