Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my transfer I was very happy. My wish of building a big house with iron sheet roof had come to reality
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is being able to build a spacious house to accommodate all my 6 children. Thank you for supporting me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy 23 iron sheets, roofing nails, mattress, 2 blankets and 7 bags of maize. I am planning to build a new house as the current house has only one bedroom and with my family of 6 children it is not spacious enough.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I believe this money will help me to build a decent house and put an iron sheet roofed house as I do not a proper house. I will also use the money for buying enough food for my household as my household always lacks money for food since I do not work and I do not do any business
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I can afford to have a decent meal with my children
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My marriage ended a few years ago and since then I have been struggling to feed my children since I am not doing any business to sustain my daily livelihood
