I was coming from the lake when i got the text that my transfers have arrived i was so happy. I imagined alll my plans that would come to life with these funds. I was excited that the next day i went straight to collect my funds
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed drastically since GD came. I had no food i had no kitchen utensils and i had only dreamt of owning a house. But today i might have all that once the second transfer is sent to us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my transfer, i bought 20 ironsheeets which i plan to use for my roof on my new house. I also bought 6000 burnt bricks to use to build my house. I also bought food four bags of maize and the other money was used to buy kitchen utensils like plates pots and water dishes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is means everything to me and my wife. As fishermen we do not have a comfortable place to sleep so this money will be used to build a proper house for my and my wife.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am back from the lake, only when I have made some money from the lake.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced in my life is not having a proper house/place to sleep. The house as you can see is very small as if it is for little children so despite having enough we still cannot afford a good place to sleep.
