Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I heard about the program at first, I thought it was too good to be true. The day I recieved the transfer I was very happy because I knew that I was going to achieve everything that I planned. Some people tried to scare us by saying we might have to pay back the money but I was encouraged by the large number of people that recieved the transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Life would have been different because I was living without even thinking about building a house for my family. The transfer has helped me build a house in a very short period of time and I am very grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The money has helped me a lot. I used it to buy bricks and iron sheets which I have used to build a house. I used a part of the money to buy school uniforms for my children because they did not have proper school uniforms.
