What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent part of my third transfer on plastering the floor of my house which I must mention had become a very big challenge repairing all the time it got damaged. Secondly, I paid school fee for my daughter who was by then pursuing a beauty therapy course in Nairobi. Lastly, I purchased a cow as an investment that I knew would one day help me meet my financial crises.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on paying school fees 15000 KES, bought sand 12000 KES, bought two bags of maize 6000 KES, bought 1 set of chair 8000 KES and used balance on daily meals.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life has been the school fees that i was able to pay.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent half of my first transfer to pay part of the school fees for my daughter in secondary school. I then bought cushions for my seats and the remaining amount was spent on buying food in the house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It had taken long before I received my first transfer while my neighbors had received up to their last payments. I was therefore really happy and exclaimed with joy when I received the money from GiveDirectly.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We're planning to build a new house since the current one is old and weak and the remaining amount we will use to pay college fees for our daughter.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having been able to save money from farming and bought two cows that were are currently raising.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we face now is on making ends meet since we fully relay on farming which sometimes does to produce enough to sustain the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm in my farm cultivating hoping to get better yields when harvesting season comes.
