My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago because we have been able to afford a balanced diet by the help of the GD transfers. This was unlike before when could only afford one meal in a day. In addition, I have three of my orphaned grandchildren whom I pay for their school fee. Raising their fee was a real challenge because I do not have any source of income and the little my spouse got from farming could barely meet the basic needs. By the help of GD, I have been able to pay for their school fee on time. They since then, haven't been sent back home for school fee.

The current house I have is in bad condition. The walls have fallen off while the floor is dusty. My spouse is aged and she doesn't have the energy to smear the house every time to maintain it. I, therefore, have a new goal of saving part of the coming transfers so that I can use it to purchase the materials which I'll use to plaster the house. With the plaster, the house will be more neat and stable.

Both my spouse and I are aged and we didn't have a reliable source of income previously. We relied on my spouse who is a farmer but due to her old age, she couldn't do much in the farm thus the harvest we got couldn't sustain us for a whole year. In most cases, we could go for a day without some of the meals. I'm glad we have additional source of income from GD which has enabled us to afford a balanced diet without challenges. I feel healthy, strong and I feel I'm alive because I have been getting a quality balanced diet. This is the biggest difference in my daily life.

I have the plans for renovating my current house so that it can be more stable and neat. I'm planning to achieve this by using the coming transfers to purchase the required plastering materials. In the next six months, I'm hopeful that I'll have plastered both the walls and floor of my house.

My new goal is to be plaster my house. Currently, it is made of mud and the cost of repair is way much high. We have to purchase soil all these times. Besides that, my wife, who does the job of smearing is aging and doing this chore is tiring considering her age now. After plastering, I will never spend any more money on house repairs.

My new goal is to start saving money and buy plastering materials as I am planning to plaster my house since my spouse is very tired of repairing the house every now and then being that she is now of aged. It is also very expensive repairing the house because any time she is repairing I had to buy soil. I also like neat things and that is why I am longing to stay in a nice plastered house.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I managed to buy building materials that I used in constructing a kitchen. The kitchen serves as a multi-purpose house as my grandchildren use part of it as a sleeping area. They were sleeping in a neighbor’s house that was quite far from home. It was unsafe for them to walk there every night. Now they sleep close to me. I can supervise their movements.

In the next six months l expect to have plastered my house and staying in it comfortably without worrying of any infection by dust.

Previously, I had weak chairs which were risky sitting on them because one could easily fall and it was challenging when I had visitors because I had to borrow chairs from my village members for them to be comfortable. Currently, my life is different in that I have been able to purchase decent chairs and now we have enough time to spent with my family together mostly when we have reunions and also I am no longer worried when I have visitors at my home.

My new goal for the next four months it that we are saving jointly with my four family members who are beneficiaries from the savings we will use to cement our mud house.

The biggest difference in my daily life for the last four months is that we were able to save enough money as a family. We have built a kitchen and now my grandchildren have a clean and safe place to sleep in. The kitchen we had earlier was weak dusty and old hence I was always worried that someday it could collapse on them but now I have a smile on my face which is evident. My neighbours were also worried but right now they have the witness and good structure and they are happy too for the big change.

I expect in the next six months to have saved enough money that will necessitate the cementing of my mud house. I believe it shall come to completion and I won't have the burden of smearing my mud house which is time-consuming and it isn't a permanent solution to a dusty floor.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that l can now pay school fee to my grandchildren without too much strangle.
