Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The Airtelmoney message found me in the afternoon just after i having lunch. I was laying down under the tree with my children. The moment the phone buzzed and i saw the message i felt very very good and i was filled with joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Honestly i am eating everyday. I have maize which was something i did not have. I am now able to sleep on a full stomatch this is such a big difference. I depended on buying because i did farm last year as i was sick so i did not any maize.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I went and bought a mattress with 4 blankets. I did not have a good sleeping place nor a good blanket. On the 4 blankets, 2 were for my children as we all lacked this same thing. I spent some money on food because i had to go buy maize everyday so i saw this as an opportunity to buy in bulk. I boughy 7 bags of maize. I have kept the remaining money as i want to add it on my second transfer to build a house.
