How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The greatest difference in my life is that I am no longer worried about how I will cater for my family needs. I am always at peace and happy since I started the poultry farm. I now have two sources of income which helps me a lot in catering for my daily expenses. My side hustle has relieved me and I no longer get stressed because I don't strain myself anymore. Now I have enough money to invest in other family development projects. This in an assurance that the future is bright. We only need to be patient and work hard.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have a new goal at the moment. I am only planning to expand the poultry farm that I started recently using the first transfers I received from Give Directly. I am looking forward to living a better life in future. This will only happen when I expand my business and market my products. I am intending to buy more chicken so that I would have more eggs for sale. This will mean that I will have more income through the sale of these eggs. I will, in turn, spend the cash to purchase family necessities.

I really look forward to visits from GiveDirectly to see what I have done! Please let our doors visit us to see how much they have changed our lives. I am especially impressed by what my neighbors have done, especially women. Women in my village initiated very visible life-changing projects including buying livestock that provides income to families. It is not only my life but also that of my friends whom we used to anquish together in poverty.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I aim to continue growing the number of chicken in my poultry project. I use a brooder to hatch eggs. The brooder is borrowed from a friend and hope that I buy my own.
