How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life is different in that I have acquired cultivation land and household items required. No more worries where to carry out cultivation, or how to acquire household needs. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving out money that has reduced poverty levels in families. It also offers guidance to people before and after giving money. I don't see anything it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to hire cultivation land. I bought household items like mattresses, food, Groundnut seeds, and saved some with a village association.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Currently, my daily life is different in that, I can afford to change clothes and do farming in a more secure manner because I put on my gumboots while in the garden, I want to thank and appeciate GiveDirectly for the support.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was very early in the morning when a neighbour came to my home and asked me if I had received any money from GiveDirectly. I did not know because I had switched off my phone through out the night. I switched it on but did not display any message, I then checked for the balance that showed that I had received money from GiveDirectly which brought joy to me.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 670000 for paying a debt for an acre of land that was mortgaged by my father. I hired two acres of land worth UGX 400000 in order to cultivate crops for household consumption and sale.The balance of UGX 630000, I bought bricks, one trip of sand and bedding, not forgetting gumboots and clothes in order to improve on my living standards.
