How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago in that I was able to boost my business with the transfers I got from Give Directly Currently, the business is stable and doing well. This has improved my income thus I can meet my family's needs without straining. In addition to that, I have also been able to pay for my child's school fee on time with some of the transfers. This has enabled her to pay more attention to her studies because she wasn't sent back home for school fee for the whole of this term. I believe she will finish school without being sent back home because of lack of school fees
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I cook in the open air because I do not have a kitchen. it's normally inconveniencing because when it rains I have to buy charcoal so that I can cook in the main house. This is an additional expense on my side because I usually use firewood. I am normally forced to work harder on such days in order to afford these extra costs. Therefore, for the next four months, I have additional goal to purchase some of the building materials for constructing a kitchen. This will allow me to save and make plans on how to achieve my long term goals
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
If it wasn't for GiveDirectly, I would still be running a small business I started a few years ago. There is a possibility that the business would have collapsed because it's all I relied on. I'm glad I have been using the previous transfers to boost the business and currently, I'm able to purchase stock in bulk. I have expanded it by including a variety of good. This has earned me a good income thus I'm able to comfortably meet family's needs. I also do not owe people money as it was the case before. This gives me room to grow bigger and better.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have plans for saving the coming transfers and purchase building materials for constructing a kitchen. Currently, I don't have one and my family is suffering a lot because of this. I have hopes that I will have saved enough money in a few months to come and fulfil this dream.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I managed to build a temporary structure where I have been doing my small scale business which generates profits. Initially, before the structure came into existence, I used to do business in an open air space which posed a danger to my health as well as those of my customers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do have a short term goal which is to save as much as I can so that I can be able to pay school fees for my child who is currently going through his high school education. If the young boy can go through his schooling peacefully for the whole of this year then I can be so happy.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that, I can afford to take care of myself. I rarely borrow money from my friends and neighbours but in case I will have to borrow, I do not get stressed about where to get the money to repay my loans. My friends are also confident in giving me the loans because they are nowadays sure that I will repay on time unlike before where they feared that I may fail to repay being that I depended on casual jobs alone which could not be enough to feed my family well. I feel confident and relaxed because am certain of the monthly transfer which I get from GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I don't have a new goal. I am still obsessed with constructing my own house. I don't want to come up with several ideas that might distract my attention. My biggest dream is yet to be established and anything that might destroy the dream will be avoided by all means. I still want to buy more iron sheets. Every time I receive the transfers I plan to set aside part of the money to buy the iron sheets so as to achieve the goal of establishing my home soon.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I managed to buy 10 pieces of iron sheets. Right now I have hopes of establishing my home because I currently stay at my in-law's house and I would really love to have my own place. I feel proud because I will now be able to fulfil my longtime goal of shifting to my own house. My in-laws are not bad people but It is always good to be independent own in your own space. I thank GiveDirectly for making this dream closer to reality.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have started a second business that will boost my income. I am planning to start selling french fries. Currently I only sell a snack called Sambusa. I want to get extra income which I can use to take care of my needs and emergencies easily. It will also help me avoid taking loans.
