What did you spend your third transfer on?
Having been in a constant argument with my brothers and my laws is the depressing thing I have been facing while staying in my parents homestead and now that I have spent my third transfer on buying a piece of land 42,000 KES which I am planning to build on my homestead is the greatest gift that GiveDirectly has given me and I will forever be greatful.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on building an iron roofed house at 30,500 KES, paid 15,000 KES school fee for my brother in high school then used the rest of the cash on starting a retail schop business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer live someone else's house as before because I have my own house. I also don't work on other people's farms to cater for my basic needs as before because I have my own business.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent majorly on paying school fees for my dependant brother and bought a bag maize to consume with my family during that hunger and drought season.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I did not believe my eyes when I saw the message! I felt overwhelmed with joy; knelt down and prayed for whoever came up with the idea of unconditional giving then later withdrew it to pay fees for my brother in secondary school.Thanks to GD.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship has been seeing my family sleep on a hungry stomach because I cannot provide for my them. And struggling to see my brother through secondary school
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at night when I see my family win through the day despite the hardship
What does receiving this money mean to you?
First I would like to thank God for this opportunity because I have been homeless and now am getting an opportunity to have my own house and a place i can call home. Secondly I will be able to start my small business which will enable me provide for my family on a daily basis. Thank you Give Directly and God bless you. I feel really happy.
