How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am currently sleeping in my son's sitting room since my collapsed but I having received this transfer from GiveDirectly, I was in position to acquire the construction materials and constructed a one bed roomed iron roofed house that is left with fitting the door and windows. I am very happy because I have built a house of my own which I couldn't have built had I not recieved this transfer since my children are taken up with their family responsibilities.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that help me off set the debt I had and constructing an iron roofed house. GiveDirectly has not done anything bad on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer to acquire construction materials( iron sheets, bicks, cement, timber, nails and sand) and paid construction workers.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to start up a poultry farm. It is one thing that I have always longed to do yet I don't have starting capital. At my age, I can not do garden work but I believe I can manage a poultry farm. With this, I can be in position to sell off some eggs in order to raise some money with which I can take care of my personal needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am seated at a bar with other members of the community. I feel relaxed because I am able to interact with a number of people as opposed to just being quite at home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money. I have always wanted to start up a poultry farm but I have never had the chance to do so because I do not have the finances. I do not have the energy to work else where in order to raise money because I am old.
