Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to ensure that my children's education is not disrupted by ensuring that I pay all the needed money and materials on time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before GiveDirectly visited us, I used to wholly depend on casual and manual jobs in order to meet the household's expenses. This has since changed because right now, I use half of my time to do my own farming and the rest on casual labor. The biggest difference in my daily life therefore is that is that while I go out doing some casual jobs, I am also expecting some produce from my farm which will help by providing us with food and an income from the sale of the excess produce. There's less pressure to get and do a day's work for a wage.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to ensure that we have thee basic needs as a family such a food and good clothing. l also want my children to continue with their education well with little or less disruption by ensuring that the fees and other school requirements are met.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goals of my life for the next four months of my life is to purchase an additional dairy cow. I have one that is serving me well although I normally have seasons when it gets pregnant and I can't milk it. This usually affects my rate of income generation hence the need to buy another one to take care of the times when one isn't producing any. This means I will have a constant supply of milk throughout the year hence sustaining my cash flow

The income I get from this business has really boosted me financially such that whenever there is not casual labor, I am not worried so much because I have an alternative source of income. I rarely stay idle nowadays because of this shop. I have also grown compared to when I only depended on the casual jobs that were normally unpredictable and paying lowly
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have improved my life. I will be financially stable by that time because my businesses will have grown and picked up. My diversified sources of income will have gained more customers by that time, I will no longer strain looking for casual labor because they are tiresome and pay less. So most of the time I will be engaged in running my business

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My household has had all the basic needs, especially food during the recent famine that prevailed over the last six months using the last four months transfers. This is because I was able to buy foodstuffs that would last us throughout those months smoothly despite the hard times in that period. The ability to save is another big difference. I initiated a scheme where we collect money to one household member who then uses it to invest. This has motivated me to have an idea of investment more over the last four months by starting a dairy farming project.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to jointly save money with my sons in order to buy a dairy cow. This additional dairy cow will increase the volume of the milk I sell and double my sales in order to meet my obligations as the household head easily.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My shop was dwindling in the last four months because there was a famine that forced me to draw money to buy food. The biggest difference in my daily life over the last four months is that I have managed to expand my shop business and make it operational using part of the money I got from GiveDirectly to maintain enough stock levels. Now, it gives me a constant source of income and I am happy that it's doing well once again
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Income from dairy farming is the next expected change my life in the next six months. Buying a dairy cow to add to the one I own will ensure a continuous flow of income since the two will be alternating in their lactation periods. I will always have milk for sale and also for the family's consumption.

The new goals for my life for the next four months is to conclude the installation of furniture in our house and buy another cow to expand my herd. I look forward to buying a cupboard and more seats for our house. Thus, I will save the transfers from GiveDirectly to finance the projects. I chose to replace the old seats with new ones to make our house more attractive and decent. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I feel more responsible and happy since I have supported one of my sons with regards to improving his living standard. Since completing his secondary school studies about 4 years ago, he has been handling tedious work that earns relatively little income. I did not have adequate to pay for his college fees. Thus, I chose to use the transfers that I got from GiveDirectly on opening a shop for him in a nearby center. As a result, he is much relieved from the exhaustive activities that marked his life. Moreover, he is enjoying a higher income that will probably enable him to establish his family. Consequently, I feel proud and happy to ensure my son grow and prosper in his business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change a lot in the next six months because we shall be having sufficient milk for consumption and sale. The cow that I purchased sometimes back will be lactating. Subsequently, I shall be saving lots of money which could otherwise be used to buy milk (the most common food item in our meals). Still, I will be saving most of the transfers from GiveDirectly to finance a new business for the other son that failed to join secondary school due to inadequacy of funds in our family.
