How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE " My biggest accomplishment i was hoping for was a decent house of my own. And am so happy that am almost done with my house, although i had to join with a relative of mine to build a decent house for us. All thanks and appreciation to givedirectly "
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE " In my opinion, givedirectly is doing very well. I only have one problem with this givedirectly program, that is, most people out here don't know how to manage money at all, so i will advise givedirectly to change their style of transfer and send we the recipients money all at once. That way a lot of us will be able to do good things with our money. But with this instalment style alot of people misused their money and before they realised their transfers are already finished with nothing to sure"
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE " I spend the most of my recent transfer on savings. I put 138 USD in club which will be share at the end of the year, by that time i will decide what to do with the money".

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My whole focus is building my own house and with the help of this Give Directly unconventional cash transfer, i am going to accomplish it this year because i have started the process already.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done extremely well for me. Building my own house was always my dream but i couldn't afford to accomplish it. But Give Directly has brought my dream to reality. I am grateful for what Give Directly is doing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought additional bundle of red zinc for 130.00USD and 13.00USD as transportation, zinc nail 2 cartons for 17.00USD, 4 inch nails 45 parks for 30.00USD and balance money using it to buy food for the workers. My wife and i are living in my mom's house, so have started building my own house because it was always my dream.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I was home when I received a mobile money message that I have received 35,625LRD from GiveDirectly. I was so excited to receive this amount. The first thing I thought about was to buy zinc and other materials to start my house project. Building a house of my own has been my dream, because the house that I live in is a family house and it is overcrowded".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"My family does not own a house. Our greatest prayer has been building a house of our own, but we could not afford it. However, our lives have changed since the day we received the money from GiveDirecty. My family is extremely grateful to GiveDirectly for the great things they have done in our lives".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"I withdrew the money and saved it in my susu club and awaiting the remaining transfers to start my house project".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I would like to buy a good mattress with some of my transfer. I do not have good mattress. I would also like to built a decent house. The house I'm in presently is not mine and I cannot spent the rest of life in my mother's house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was frustrated when all of my documents and dried meat bag left in the water. But I was over joy when I heard about GD. Because in my whole life I have never heard about such gesture. So the joyful thing that ever happened to me is the arrival of GD in my community.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I didn't plan to live in the bush. Moreover, I have serious health problem. I'm not well. So I need money to take care of me and my family. I'm partly living in the forest looking for money just to survive. My major problem now is money.
