On to next year as a family, we are looking forward to my wife graduating from collage and accomplishing this means that she will be able secure a job and help me with family responsibilities. I am also looking forward to take my children to better schools next year and this means that they will have a better education and thus bright future.

What GiveDirectly does well is enrolling everyone in the village regardless of their social class. This has helped in bringing more peace and harmony in the village and also reduced level of fraud. In my view, GiveDirectly should start enrolling single parents who have combined household with their parents independently because they have their separate needs.

As a teacher with no formal reliable job, I have been struggling to provide for my family of three( wife and two children) with my salary of $40. This has seen me struggle to complete building a two bedroom house that I started two years ago. With the second transfer, I spend $100 towards completion of my house, $100 to buy seats and a table, $110 and the balance to buy food for my family. I purchased a dairy cow and I no longer buy milk. My children get enough milk unlike before. I am in a position to save some money for household items. I sell the surplus milk to earn an income. I wish to improve this breed and ensure that I get the income in future. I am so grateful for the support.

I spent KES 46,000 on purchasing a dairy cow. This is because I used to buy milk daily and this was so costly for me. This was my main target since I had always wished to own a dairy cow. Currently I no longer buy milk and I am in a position to save some money that I could have used to buy milk for other basic household needs. I spent KES 5,000 on paying school fees for my children in primary school. They are studying well without being disturbed like before. The remaining amount of money I spent on food and clothes for my children.
