How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different in that I live a very peaceful life with no stress because I was able to plaster, floor and install doors plus windows in my incomplete house. This has enabled me have peaceful nights whereby I no longer worry of dust which causes infections like flu, cough and bedbugs. In addition to that, the motorcycle I and my son merged transfers and procured generates for us daily income that provides for our basic needs and helps in terms of emergencies like sickness among others. Prior to finishing this house, I used to frequently get bacterial infections like flu, and cough due to dust since my house wasn't plastered and floored.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly in my opinion is a very unique organisation in that, they transfer unconditional cash to people living in destitute conditions. For many years I have never witnessed a thing like this which GD has done and I'm so grateful to be part of this revolution. On side, there's nothing wrong done by GD.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on purchase a motorcycle for a bodaboda business. I have saved some for feeding
