What did you spend your second transfer on?
I haven't spent my second transfer yet, but I intend to use it to construct an iron sheet roofed house after I have burnt my own bricks.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well assisting the village by giving money directly that has enabled people to build permanent houses, acquire livestock, household items, marry wives which they couldn't afford before. There's nothing it hasn't done well in my opinion.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I was able to complete paying off land originally bought, so there's peace of mind. Before, all my mind was preoccupied on how to pay the balance before someone takes advantage. I can now think of constructing my own house and this brings happiness.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for paying a debt of UGX 700,000. I have saved UGX 1,000,000 which I will add on to my second transfer for constructing an iron roofed house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I saw the mobile money message, I felt happy in my heart but for security reasons I kept it within my self.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The big difference now in my life is that I have cleared a debt and I am a free person. I also have hope of constructing a better house come my last transfer. Before I got this transfer, I could think a lot on how to pay that debt and I had no peace.
