How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I do not have a new goal. My goal has always been to own a motorbike. For this reason, when I got on GD's program, I saved all of my transfers; and I bought a new motorbike. I am convinced that it will help improve my existing business, thereby raising its income. Because It has been very challenging for me to transport my goods from the store in Buchanan to my shop in Voinyee village. Rice, vita and small provisional goods are the things that sell at home. And this business had been the only primary source for me to take care of my family. So I am very thankful to GD for enrolling me into their program and giving me money to own a motorbike.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Frankly, GD has done so much for me. I do not know how to repay them. It is because of GiveDirectly that I am now a motorbike owner. Receiving such a plenty money from GiveDirectly is something that I find well. This organisation is doing so much good for us the poor people. Like me, I could not have bought a motorbike so easily without the intervention of GiveDirectly. So I am very grateful. But I feel bad most of the time that I cannot physically appreciate GD. Because GD's workers do not accept any offer from us. I see this as one thing GD is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I added my last transfer to the previous transfers that I have been saving and bought a motorbike. My husband and I live together with three children. We have eight living children but only three here with us. It has really been my plan to buy a motorbike for myself. But there has been no enough money to do so. I sell rice, vita and small provisional goods at home. Transporting my goods from Buchanan to Voinyee village has been a major challenge. Most time I over spent on transportation which affects the profits. And it is from the profits of my market that I am able to feed my home. Hence, I feel so lucky to be enrolled on GD's program and receiving such an unexpected amount that have make me a motorbike owner.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I saw the message on my phone, with excitement I started rolling on the ground and shouting with joy that even my kids got shocked by my reaction, but I didn't cared cause I was so much happy. Friendly speaking, I have never received or worked for such an amount before in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my life have been filled with so much joy lately. Before this transfer I earned very little cash from the sale of garie and fufu which is our traditional food. Meanwhile, the dream of building a bigger house for my family was always just a dream. Helpfully, now that GiveDirectly had come to rescue us from poverty, I am planning on waiting for the next transfer before buying most of the building materials to kick start the project. Many thanks to the GD family for coming to restore our hopes and dreams.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I have dreamt to built a new and bigger house for my family and I. Presently, we're living in a smaller house that doesn't have much space to accommodate all my children and I. However, with the first transfer I am eagerly awaited my second payment from GiveDirectly so I can buy most of the materials for the project. With that it will help to speed up the work. And these building materials includes three bundles zinc, planks and others.
