What does receiving this money mean to you?
"When I receive this money, I plan to (firstly) pay my kids tuation and then build my house.
Since the death of my husband, I've had difficult time sending my kids to school. I have four children of schooling age. I have to burn charcoal to raise to their fees. Because of the challenges with the charcoal business in Liberia, two of my kids are currently out of school.
Furthermore, because I currently live in a family house, I've always had to endure mockeries from other family members who think I'm enjoying their shared inheritance. I've therefore longed to build my own house."
What is the happiest part of your day?
The news about GD's pending cash assistance has brought me the greatest happiness. As a single parent with four kids, I've always hopped for some forms of divine intervention. Burning charcoal to survive isn't an easy task.
GD coming in at this point to assist us is a miracle. I am happy about this pending cash assistance because it'll help me solve some of my most difficult problems.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My most pressing challenge is to raise the needed money for my kids tuation. Since the death of my husband about five years ago, I've had no man (husband) to help me. I have to literally burn charcoal to support my kids to school. The charcoal business is labor intensive and costly to manage. The profit margin is very low as well. Because of this, two of my kids are currently out of school.
