How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I already added a cow to the one that I had bought previously. Currently, I have two of them and they are almost calving. It is my joy to keep these animals since I hope that they are going to be beneficial to my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next investment goal very soon is poultry keeping. I settled on this after realizing that this the exercise that will require minimal management yet with profits. I hope to achieve this in the next four months
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Biggest difference in my daily life is seeing the avocados that I had earlier on planted doing so well. Currently, avocado business is really booming and I'm lucky since I was wise enough to invest in these trees the very day I began receiving the transfers. I know that very soon I will be selling them at a profit and income used in providing for my family and even payment of school fees.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In six months time, I will have earned from avocado that I had already planted. Again, my cows will have calved and therefore I will be having enough milk both for domestic and commercial purposes. This means that will have more income to support my family and even pay my children's school fees.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I graduated with a certificate in P1 (Primary teacher). It is over 10 years since then and my lack has never come through. I have not secured any employment ever since and this has stressed me all my life. I have never known the meaning of a happy life and I have always remained a laughing stock in my village. I was on the verge of giving up. Little did I now that GiveDirectly is on its way to save my already lost hope. When I began receiving the transfers, my life drastically changed. I now have cows, two cows for that matter. I have a poultry project coming up and I have my mind in a sober state. I am so sure that some years to come I will be living a stable life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Now that I have not cleared the money when I was buying the second cow, I am aiming to clear this in the next four month's. That said I also intend to begin working on my just started poultry project that kicked off and by then I will be having more chicken in it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is owning a cow. This has been a dream that I was not sure if I will ever manage to see it in my compound. When the cow calves, I will stop buying milk and therefore I will save money towards other projects that pertain the family well being. I am pretty sure that I will be having more milk enough to sell. My family's health will improve since I will not be faced with a low supply of milk.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six month months, my chicken will have increased in number, cows calved and I will have a lot of revenue from this. Ideally, this means that my family will never languish in poverty since I will be able to provide for them.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have renovated my house. Before GD came in, we were living in an old and worn out house. It was becoming a challenge and uncomfortable to live in especially during rainy seasons where we were always rained on exposing my children to diseases. Currently, I am happy to have my family living healthy and in a comfortable decent house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The new goals that I have for my life in the next four months are to start a poultry farming since it is affordable and require small space to develop it and since I joined a Juhudi Kilimo Sacco I am planning to take a loan then use it to buy a dairy cow which will help me have more milk production for both family consumption to retain the order I have with the school where my child school in hence will make my child school fee payment affordable and easy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the next four months, I intend to begin poultry farming. This is because it is affordable and requires small space. Additionally, I already joined a Sacco where I will be able to borrow a loan. I intend to use this loan in buying a dairy cow which will, in turn, provide me with milk both for consumption and for sale to the school where my child is studying hence helping me settle school fees.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have improved my household furniture like chairs which I currently have. I have a few old ones which need replacement. I also plan to fully renovate my house. My plan is also to buy another cow which will later earn me more income for my family financial needs.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Constructing a new house for my kids is a new idea which never existed before. Initially i had prioritize the poultry farming but when the money came i saw it good to start with this house construction so that i will factor in the poultry farming in the coming months.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am feeling so good that I am receiving this money. It has really made things looks easy and without it my life would have really been hard. The new goals I have now would not have been operational without Give Directly money or if it would have been then it would have taken a longer time before they are completed.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation is that, in the next six months I will be having a new completed house for my children and in addition I would be having an operational poultry farming of at least fifteen indigenous hens. I am also hoping that if things go well I will be owning a dairy cattle.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The plan to build a new house for my children is a great change in my life and also for the family at large. For now how we do our work looks simple since Give Directly has made other sources of money which we were depending much on to be redirected to other uses. this has really brought happiness in our family and we always wish to say thank you to Give Directly.
