Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
On that particular day i heard a message from my phone when i opened it i saw the K307,200 but i couldn't read properly since i didn't go far with my education,so i called my helper and she confirmed that the transfer is in,my heart skipped a bit since i have never received such an amount of money and i was really excited and all thanks to GiveDirectly for this exceptional job your doing.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having proper beddings,a proper house and utensils i know i will have these things forever and I'm grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
First of all i would like to thank GiveDirectly for giving me this life changing opportunity, I'm so much grateful for receiving my first transfer,I'm one of the people that have been suffering interms of shelter and beddings,so considering my situation i thought of using part of the money to buy necessary house building materials so i bought bricks and ironsheet i believe i will finish the rest of the things with my second transfer,i also bought sleeping matress, blankets and 3 bags of maize to carry me through the remaining quoter of the year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money has brought so much hope for me. I am really grateful to be part of this program. You can just look at how damaged my house looks so with the money from this project I will buy bricks and iron sheets and have a better house. I will also buy new beddings because as of now my beddings are rugs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is evening. This is because at this time am back from ganyu (piece work) so I get to rest and be with my children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced in my life is poverty. I fail to afford simple things because I depend on piece work (ganyu). My husband is in South Africa to look for greener pastures but to no avail. It is so hard for me to buy proper food and daily needs like soap.
