How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because I'm no longer sickly, being a widow this money has motivated me to work harder as it is a step for me to move to another level. Am hopeful of shifting to an iron roofed house from a grass thatched once am done with the construction.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirect did well to give me money directly, this has relieved me from poverty. It is my prayer that they extend their support to other people as well. I have not seen any thing they are doing wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying sand and making bricks at UGX 375,000, paying for labour at UGX 208,000, saved UGX 150,000 for buying timber. The balance of UGX 900,000 was stolen from the house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have a peace of mind because I got the money that has enabled me start up the construction of an iron roofed house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I became very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I sent my first transfer for purchasing two bags of grand nuts at 2100,000 ugx, making brick at 100,000 ugx, Clothes at 77,000 ugx, food and transport at 20,000 ugx. I have not yet spent 1,288,000 ugx but am planning to spend it on buying iron sheets and cement.

Receiving this money means I will build a permanent house and buying oxen for ploughing.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up healthy and able to do daily cores .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is that where I sleep links especially during rain.
