I was very excited, grateful and thankful. The money has helped a lot.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that, this time around, i did not struggle to look for school fees for my child. This time around help came from Give Directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have paid school fees for my child who is in secondary. The fees is fourty eight thousand Malawi Kwacha (K48 000.oo)per term I have paid in advance for two terms( semester). In addition to that, i also gave my child pocket money as well buying groceries. I have Also bought 15 bags of Maize for food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am really thankful for this amazing opportunity. I have some plots and I have been planning to build some houses but I have been failing because of money. I will build some houses when I receive my transfers. I also intend to buy iron sheets so that I can replace the roof of my house. My child is also at a secondary school and I will use part of the money to pay for her school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy when my business is paying out.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am really struggling to pay school fees for my children.
