How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my planned all along is to built my own house. For this reason I have been buying my building materials. And the materials includes three bundles zinc, four packs of zinc nail and some packs of roofing nail and some pieces of planks. However, with my recent transfer, I am planning to used a portion of the money and buy the remaining one bundle of zinc. Additionally, the balance money will be used to pay the contractors. With this goal, I have not developed any new goal until I see my dream come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly couldn't have done anything better than what they have done for us the needy. They have brought us so much hopes and relieved. The level of professionalism and transparency carried out by this Organization in selecting qualified household beneficiaries is highly commandable. Therefore I am very grateful that GiveDirectly came to our town. In my thinking GiveDirectly has not done anything that is not well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Before I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I was ready in of money to built my own house after I was put out of my neighbour house due to lack of money to pay the rent. Happily, when GiveDirectly came to our town I was so excited that I was finally going to built my own house. Since then I have been buying building materials for the project. However with my recent transfer, I am planning to use a portion of the money and buy additional one bundle of zinc. Moreover the remaining money will be spend on paying the contractors.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been living in a deliberated house with constant linkage whenever it rains.Upon receiving my transfer I decided building a new house where my family and I will love in with no worries.

Givedirectly is doing great deal work and giving us help.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy. In fact, it was like a dream to me. That entire day, I was just smiling.I felt relief.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Things had been very easy for me since I got enrolled on the Give Directly program and started receiving money. I'm very excited for this program because since I was born, I haven't had opportunity like the one Give Directly is giving us. Receiving this money had brought total change in my life. At least with the cash received, I was able to settled food issue and zinc for my building project

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was making business before but my business broke down so if I am qualify for this program and i received any money from Givedirectly I am going to start my business again and build my own house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months I have not had any joy or happiness because I worry about how to get money but upon hearing about Givedirectly and the kind of help that they are doing for poor families around Liberia and been apart of this program I am very excited to today so far that's my only happy time for now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I said I was making business before but my business broke down so my main challenge for now is money problem.
