How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I was a very poor woman living in a small rented room, when GD have me funds, I embarked on building my own house which am about to complete. GD has elevated me from being a poor woman to a role model in my village e.g I am building my own house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD is a very good organization that helps the poor, everything they do is so good.
I have not seen anything bad with GD.

I bought roofing materials such as: 30 pieces of iron sheets, Iron bars, 3 bags of cement, and 4 trips of sand. All cost 1,600,000Ugsh. The balance of 32,000Ugsh I spent on transportation of some materials from town.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I was able to buy home utensils and furniture and am now going to construct my house and be out of renting. we are now a happy family.

I was so happy and jubilated in my bedroom with my spouse because i did not want my neighbors to know.

I bought Bricks worth 600,000 Ugsh, timber of 300,000 Ugsh, 2 bags of cement at 70,000 Ugsh, one trip of sand at 60,000. I also bought house utensils at 150,000 Ugsh, a solar kit at 200,000 Ugsh, a mattress at 130,000 Ugsh, furniture at 88,000Ugsh and a suit case at 60,000 Ugsh. I also spent 12,000 Ugsh on transport.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is failure to meet the basic needs of life in my family due to inadequate funds .
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is lunch time when am serving my husband and children a delious meal.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to me that am going to utilize it very well to transform my life that's to say am going to buy land construct a house ,start a business and pay fees for my children.
