How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am still maintaining my old goal and that is to build a new house. My current house is very old and in a deplorable condition. It has a thatch roof and an earth floor which make the house very cold during rainy time. And I have been living in this house for a very long time. That is why I have decided to start the construction of a new house with all of my transfer payments. So, I used my last payment to buy 15 bags of cement for my new house project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD has done so much well by giving me money directly to buy more things for a house project that I am about to start. It is something very unbelievable that I did not expect to happen soon enough. So, I am very pleased with the workings of GD. Only God can repay GD for this level of good done so far. As for things done unwell by GD, I have not seeing neither have I heard of any such thing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my last transfer on purchasing 15 bags of cement for the construction of a new house. It has really been my plan to construct a better house than the one that I live in currently. My current house is too old. I built it long ago and it's not in a good condition anymore. The roof leaks because of the thatch roof. I am about to construct a new one that will have a zinc roof and a cement floor. This I believe will have a lot of comfort, where my family and I will not have to worry about leakage and cold floor anymore.

Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I am a farmer who only source of income was to cut palm nuts for sale as a means of survival for my family and I. Interestingly, with my transfer from GD I was able to used a good portion of the money to buy some gallons of palm oil to start a palm oil business. Furthermore, I used some of the money and bought 5 bags of cement for the foundation of my house. Now with this transfer from GiveDirectly, my life as palm cutter will now change to a business man. Many thanks to GD for this life changing opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving payment from GiveDirectly my dreamed to establish a business to enable me to be financially stable and self-employed have come into force swing. However, a good amount of my transfer was used to buy Palm oil for business purpose. With that, it will serve as great income for my family.
