How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving my recent transfer, I aready had a thought of starting my own provisions business. For this reason I decided to built a little shop using my third transfer. However with my recent transfer, my goal is to see my dream come to reality. Therefore I used the money and bought some provision items as a start up. I am so grateful and excited for this financial opportunity afforded me by GiveDirectly that had empowered me greatly. I do appreciate this financial opportunity.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly is the best Organizations that I have ever known. Their humanitarian work done tirelessly in seeing lives transformed for the better is remarkable. I am so grateful and excited to be one of the beneficiaries of this unique program. Therefore I didn't notice anything that was not successfully done by GiveDirectly. What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Before receiving my recent transfer, I decided to start up a business that will empower me financially and help me take care of my family responsibilities. With that quest, I used money from my previous transfer and built a little shop. However with my recent transfer the money was used to buy the goods. And happily I can say I have started the business and it's moving on fine. All thanks to GiveDirectly for empowering me and changing my life for the better.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is for me to build my house and start a new business to empower myself at the end of GiveDirectly transfer payment.

In my mind GiveDirectly is doing well because they are helping we the poor people. As for me I have not observed any bad thing that GiveDirectly is doing.

I had a plan before which is to build my house. I have a new plan now based on the amount that I am receiving in transfer I have plan to build my house with a shop to start a new business.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on the farm when my children came with running calling me mama GD has sent money for other people but to my optimal surprise my transfer was in my phone, i and my children came back in the town for that day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
We been in this town living from hand to mount ;paying children school fees is very difficult some years but receiving this money I can establish a mini business to empower me financially.

I was abel to purchase zinc and others house materials and pay my children school fees and now I'm deciding to build my own house; presently we are sleeping in one hut that is accommodating everyone of us.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Over the past years, I misused fundings I intended for projects my family decided on when I thought I could keep said fundings myself. Learning from this mistake, I plan to invest into business when I receive transfer from Givedirectly and other plans will follow afterwards. I think this will help me properly manage my fundings this time.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy over the past six months is the fact that I got enrolled on Givedirectly program today. I have wished this program come to my village after hearing of it in surrounding towns. It's a dream come through for me to be enrolled on it today.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Having to take care of a family as a young man has been of a challenge for me. I started relationship with my spouse with no intend of having kids anytime soon. But she then started having kids, and taking proper care of them has been a challenge because of low income.
