Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Receiving independence through this cash transfer is the only joy I have because I will soon be independent, own my plot and move out of renting to my own home Before I received this cash transfer, I used to rent in the nearby center which was costly for me on top of buying food and educating my children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Receiving this first cash transfer meant a lot to me because I had been imagining how I would acquire a plot of land to build my own home. To me, this is the only opportunity I had to buy a plot in order to build my own home, what the joy i had!
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first cash transfer worth UGX 50,000 for purchasing food and/or utensils and I topped UGX 150,000 to my business of charcoal. The balance of UGX 1,500,000, I have kept it because I intend to spend it on buying a plot of land that I will build my home.
