Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy improved farm inputs such as hybrid seeds and fertilizer which I will use on my farm. I know through this method, I will get a good harvest which will ensure food security in my house and can sell the extra for an extra income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before the transfers, I used to really struggle to meet my needs especially paying school fees for my children. I would really struggle since I only depended on income from farming as my main source of income. In most cases, my children would be sent home for fees arrears and would stay at home for as long as a week as I was still looking for the money to pay. Ever since I started receiving my monthly transfers, I have been using them on a daily basis to pay for fees arrears for my children. In the last one year, they have never been sent home for fees arrears again.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to start a small business to boost my income. Through this opportunity provide by GD, I would not want to go back to the struggles I used to go through of living on debts and begging. I want to better my life by saving part of my monthly transfers to start an income-generating activity like a business. I will want to use the transfers to stabilise the business and by the time the transfers come to an end, I know the business will be stable enough to sustain my needs for the future.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have been paying school fees for my children and they hardly stay longer at home waiting for me to do casual work to raise their school fees. My family can also afford food daily that means we can eat well. With the transfers, we can do a month-long shopping which sees us use the money we earn from casual work in other projects. I am also able to pay casual workers to help cultivate my large piece of land which helps in revenue generation in the house. We sell any surplus harvest to get money to change our lifestyle as a family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I wish to save and venture into farming as I want to depend solely on farming to help generate income for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to pay school fees for my children. They get to stay in school, study hard and even pass exams as they have their school fees on time. My children can now have bigger dreams of finishing school someday as they have access to the transfers to pay school fees.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to buy building materials like iron sheets and build a kiosk that we can have a family business to help generate income. This will be the main source of income for the daily expenditure in the house amongst other businesses. I also wish to venture into livestock farming to help in income generation in times of financial constraints.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from the way it would have been had I not received the transfers in that I feel comfortable and at ease because I can easily meet the daily needs. After my spouse business collapsed, I had to go for casual work to provide for the family. I would work hard but the income was not equal to the input. With the transfer, I was able to handle most of my major financial problems hence reducing my financial burdens. In as much as I do not get much, I am able to meet most of my family's needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My spouse was running a business, unfortunately, it fell leaving her with no source of income. For the next four months of my life, I have a new goal of saving some money so that she can use it to reopen the business. This was our only source of income and so we have really struggled to make ends meet without the business. The income we get from casual work is half what we used to get from the business hence I prefer re-opening the business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to construct a permanent pit latrine. This caused me a lot of trouble with my village elder since it is a requirement from the Government that every home must have a toilet. With my little income, I could not even meet my family needs hence I was not able to build a toilet. When I received these transfer, I remembered the troubles I have gone because I do not have a toilet in my compound such as having to hide during monthly village health checks, I decided to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timber, nails, sand and cement which I used to construct my pit latrine. I feel at peace now.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have established a reliable NAME OF business for my spouse so that we can have an additional source of income in the family. This will enable us to meet the family's needs without a lot of challenges. It will be also a stable source of income since casual work is unreliable and needs are always consistent. I would want to provide for my family without begging.
