Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the relief I feel having managed to secure a large piece of farm land that I will now cultivate my personal crops for both subsistence and commercial purposes. This will help me to curb the ever affecting famine that we experience and we shall also be able to save up some crops for sell such that we can meet the day to day expenses. Prior to getting this transfer, we were always prone to famine since I had to share farm land with my mother in law who most of the times ended up owning the food crops. Hence leaving us with nothing.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy that I made a joyous noise. This is because all along, I waited to get this money such that I can become independent in terms of farming by having my own farmland.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy building materials such as bricks, timber, cement , sand, nails, iron sheets and then paying labour that helped me to build my small permanent house. I then used the balance of Ugx 800000 to get a large piece of farm land that I will cultivate on.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house. I have a grass thatched house that I sleep in but it leaks because grass is scarce. I also hope to buy household items and make my home better.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the noon time when my husband returns home from his normal morning duties in good health.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of land for cultivation. I have only one garden which is too small to support my cultivation need. I lack food in my household most of the time so this forces me to go and do casual labour so as to find what to eat.
