How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received this cash transfer in that, our hygiene and sanitation has improved since we have been enabled to build a pit latrine that is in use now. Before the cash transfers, we used to dig the ground in an open bush to bury our human wastes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through providing the poor with adequate information that has empowered us coupled with the cash transfers. I do not see what they have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer worth UGX 1,632,000 for paying tuition worth UGX 300,000, I lent a friend UGX 400,000, I built apit latrine at UGX 629,000, I bought utensils at UGX 130,000 and the balance of UGX 173,000, we used for feeding.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have acquired an ox cart which is going to ease transportation of my harvest since my gardens are distant.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for paying school of 480,000ugx. I bought an ox cart for transporting harvest from the distant gardens at 1,200,000ugx and a sauspan of 20,000ugx.
