Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I felt fine when I first saw that kind of money that I didn't work for or do anything for on my phone. I was so happy seeing it. I don't even know how to describe the way i felt. It was mouthwatering. I did not think my children were going to be enrolled in school this school year. I didn't have a cent to get them in school. But with this transfer, i can now get them in school and also use some of the money to buy Zinc for my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"My house has been leaking since. The condition of the leakage has become worst. During rainy season, I fear for my children and myself. We have to place dishes all around the room to hold the water from the leakage. My kids education was a challenge as well. The biggest difference in my daily life now is that I am now able to get my children back in school and also buy zinc to improve my house. I fee so happy daily seeing my kids happy that they are going to be in school this school year.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
" I couldn't afford to pay my kids school fees. It was a challenge for me. Fortunately I was enrolled into this program and this act of generosity from GiveDirectly has changed everything. I was able to use some of my money to pay my children school fees and kept the balance to add up to buy my zinc and roof my house."
