Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money and pay school fees for my children so that they will be able to pursue their dream without any interference.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life in the last four months is that I was able to pay school fees for my children. My children are hard-working and always perform well despite being sent home due to school fees arrears. I always felt like I was letting them down because they would miss lessons and were forced to strain to catch up with his classmates. When I got the chance to pay the fees I didn't hesitate because I value their education and I wouldn't want to be the reason for them to fail.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life is different from how it was four months ago in that I was able to pay school fees for my children. I normally strain my self by doing several casual jobs a day in order to save something to pay for his school fees. Even after working this hard its usually not enough and they end up being sent home for school fees. It is very frustrating to see them at home although I usually have no otherwise but to try harder to make sure they are back to school on time. I managed to pay their school fees using the transfers sent to me by Give Directly.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goal right now is to make sure that I work twice as hard as I have been doing over the past so as to enable me to generate more money as I prepare for next school term budgets. I do not want a situation where we get into the new year and my kids cannot attend classes because their parents are not able to raise school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference that this money has brought into my life is that I was able to plaster the entire house after such a long time of building the dream. I can say that I spent approximately thirty thousand shillings to carry out the process which most probably would never have happened were it not for the cash transfers from Give Directly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
For me to change my life, I will have to make sure that I work extra hard by doing more of the manual jobs which can earn me some returns which I then use to pay school fees for my kids. In addition to the jobs, I will rely on the monthly transfers from GD to boost my earnings. Based on this, I am sure that my kids will go to school without being worried about being sent away due to fees arrears.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is stress-free as I do not have financial constraints. My children can now easily stay in school as I am able to pay their school fees right in time so they have ample time studying. I can also afford to buy food for family consumption and my family can easily eat three meals a day unlike previously when we could hardly afford even a meal a day.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have a new goal as per now as I wish to concentrate on paying school fees for my children which I had shared earlier.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I have been able to pay school fees for my children without fail. I do not have to be stressed about where to get the school fees anymore and I do not have to work extra hard or do tedious jobs to raise money to pay the school fees for my child. If not for GiveDirectly, I believe my child would have dropped out of school as I would have not been able to raise money to pay the school fees on my own.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to save some more to pay school fees for my children who are still very far in terms of the level of education. By saving the transfers, I can easily settle a child's school fees all at once which makes it easy to pay for the next child's fees.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different and beautiful since I started receiving the transfer as I was able to buy building materials like cement and sand that I used in plastering my house. I have also been able to pay the hospital bill for my child who fell sick with chronic malaria. I also paid school fees for my child and I do not have to wait for them to be sent home from school to clear the outstanding fee balance.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to save some more and buy tiles that I plan to instal to beautify my house more.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I saved the transfers and pooled together with my wife's transfers and bought cement and sand. I used the materials to plaster my house which I had built earlier but could not plaster because I could not afford to raise the money to buy building materials. I earned so little from casual work which could only put food on my table. Now, I live in a very beautiful and the envy of many in the village.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am planning to save some more towards buying more building materials like tiles to beautify my house. I also want to save some money to use in paying school fees for my children so that they get to concentrate on their studies well and not be sent home due to lack of it.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In the past four months, I have been having peace of mind. I have been paid school fees easily for my five children using the monthly payment. This was not easy before because I had to look for the odd jobs and the little that I got was the one that we could use to take carter for every need. This was stressful because I had to squeeze my budget. Right now I feel relieved because the transfers has greatly reduced the burden
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I don't have new goals since I am still focusing on paying school fees for my five children which has been a challenge.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I can attest that I live in a decent house. In the last four months, I managed to save part of the monthly transfers and used the amount on cementing my house. Previously, the walls had cracks and the loose mud could fall down, this was making my house weak. I could only afford to smear it but it was hectic. Today, I have been relieved of smearing it and staying in a nice place has brought more joy in my heart.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
